As part of Montessori Education Week 2009 the IAME Outreach Committee ask that all stop for
a moment of silence for World Peace
at 12:00 noon (local time specific
to your area) on Friday, February 27, 2009 and
then sing:
Let There be Peace on Earth
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin
with me
Let There Be Peace on Earth
The peace that was meant to be
With the Earth as our Mother, we are family
Let us walk with each other, In perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now.
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow;
To take each moment and live
Each moment in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
and let it begin with me.
Please circulate this information to all
the Montessori schools you know. One moment
of silence, and song for peace that travels
around the world from time zone to time zone is a wonderful "Montessori
Moment"!
